Hi All,
I have added the jeopardy powerpoint (patterns and equations) to the math section of my website. We have a test on Friday, and I thought the game might be a fun way for parents and students to study together.
Here is the blurb about Halloween:
Hello Parents,
Halloween is this Friday, and I just wanted to address any questions that you might have concerning costumes, the class party, and the costume parade.
Costumes: · Students will be permitted to wear their costumes all day
· Students cannot bring costume accessories such as knives and guns or other weapons
o If brought to school, these items will be confiscated, and returned at the end of the day
· Costumes are expected to be appropriate for all ages within the school
o We don’t want costumes to terrify kindergartners, or expose them to anything inappropriate
· Students should avoid excessive gore and blood when preparing their costumes for school
o We’ll have to ask them to remove/cover the offending component
· Costumes are expected to provide appropriate bodily coverage
o Students will be asked to cover up if too much skin is showing.
Class Party/Food and Drink
· We will be having a class party after lunch
· Students and parents are not obligated to bring food/drinks but all contributions are welcome and appreciated.
· Please ensure that if you are sending food/drinks that you send enough for 30 students.
· In the interest of health, low sugar foods/drinks would be appreciated
o This is not a rule. Please just consider and be aware of sugar when buying/making treats
· Please do not send pop or soft drinks.
· Our classroom and school are Peanut Free zones
o All food and drink must not contain peanuts or traces of peanuts
o Please read labels carefully
§ E.g., Smarties are safe, M&Ms are not
Class Party/ Activities
· We will be watching a film on Netflix called “Hotel Transylvania ”. it is rated PG, so if you have any concerns, please let me know and I will make accommodations as necessary.
· There will be a costume parade right after lunch, followed by a bit of a dance party in the gym
So far 2 parents have offered to supply fruit/veg and cupcakes. If anyone would like to offer drinks or other treats, your contributions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all,
Mr. Surina
